Partnership for Schools

On March 16, 2004, the Village of Fox River Grove, IL
passed a school funding referendum.

It was one of only two school referendums passed
that night in the State of Illinois.

It passed by 49 votes.

If there is a message to the March 16 vote, it is that the citizens of
Fox River Grove are willing to help solve the problems of school
funding, but they're not willing to do it alone.

There is a real opportunity to form a Partnership within the
community, to bring together all of the diverse people, interests, and
points-of-view within Fox River Grove, to work together on the issues
of school funding, to enhance the flow of information within School
District 3, to make the schools the best they can be for our children,
and to give taxpayers the assurance they need that school funds are
used as wisely as possible.

It is not about what the District can do for us.

It is not about what we can do for the District.

It's about what we can do together.

Please join us in opening the lines of communication, in furthering
the discussion, in exchanging our ideas, in investigating solutions,
in working together.
